1. Introduction
These Seller Terms / Seller Guidelines govern the participation of sellers, authors, publishers, creators, and other content providers (“Seller,” “you,” or “your”) on The eBook Library.
By creating a seller account, publishing content, collecting leads, linking to payment pages, or otherwise using seller features on the Platform, you agree to comply with these guidelines, our Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, our DMCA / Copyright Policy, our Content Policy, and all applicable laws.
2. Platform Role
The eBook Library is a marketplace, discovery, and referral platform that helps visitors discover eBooks and related digital content.
The Platform is designed to remain economical enough for authors and sellers to promote their eBooks through paid advertising channels such as Facebook, Google, Bing, and similar platforms while maintaining flexibility over their own pricing, checkout systems, and sales economics.
The eBook Library does not take a percentage of seller sales.
Instead, the Platform currently operates on a fixed fee of $15 per year per eBook listing and may also generate revenue through prime placements, affiliate promotions, or similar platform-level promotional opportunities.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise:
- The eBook Library is not the merchant of record for third-party seller transactions
- sellers handle their own payments and transaction terms
- sellers are responsible for their own payment processors, checkout pages, delivery methods, refund terms, and customer transaction terms
- refunds, delivery issues, billing disputes, and chargebacks are generally between the buyer and the seller or the seller’s payment processor
3. Seller Eligibility
By acting as a seller on the Platform, you represent that:
- you are legally able to enter into binding agreements
- you have authority to sell, license, or promote the content you list
- the information you provide is accurate and not misleading
- you will comply with applicable local, state, federal, and international laws as relevant to your business and customers
4. Seller Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- the legality of your eBook and listing content
- the truthfulness of claims in your titles, descriptions, sales pages, and promotional materials
- your checkout links, payment setup, and transaction flow
- your refund policy, delivery policy, and customer service obligations
- your communications with leads and buyers
- compliance with email, privacy, marketing, advertising, and consumer protection laws
- maintaining the rights needed for all content you upload or use
5. Payments and External Checkout Links
Sellers may use their own external checkout links and payment providers, including but not limited to PayPal, Stripe, Payhip, or similar services.
By using external checkout links, you acknowledge and agree that:
- you are solely responsible for your payment setup
- you are solely responsible for transaction terms shown to buyers
- you are solely responsible for delivery, refunds, billing, taxes, and disputes
- The eBook Library does not process seller payments and does not take a percentage of seller sales
- The eBook Library is not responsible for failures, errors, disputes, or losses arising from external payment providers or seller-controlled checkout systems
- buyers should be able to understand who they are buying from and what terms apply before purchase
6. Content Ownership and Rights
You may only upload, publish, display, or promote content that you own or have the legal right to use.
This includes but is not limited to:
- eBooks
- cover images
- descriptions
- excerpts
- graphics
- promotional text
- logos
- downloadable files
- bonuses and related materials
You may not upload or publish content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other intellectual property or proprietary rights.
7. Prohibited Content and Conduct
You may not publish, upload, promote, link to, or distribute content that is:
- unlawful
- infringing
- fraudulent
- deceptive or misleading
- defamatory
- abusive or threatening
- hateful or discriminatory
- pornographic or sexually explicit
- malicious, harmful, or designed to distribute malware
- invasive of privacy
- intended to scam, exploit, or manipulate users
You may not use the Platform to:
- impersonate a person or business
- make false claims about endorsements, credentials, or results
- submit spam or abusive communications
- collect or misuse data unlawfully
- bypass platform controls or moderation
- engage in harmful automation or scraping
- upload duplicate, low-quality, or abusive listings at scale
8. Claims and Marketing Standards
All claims in your eBook listings, descriptions, and sales pages must be truthful, supportable, and not misleading.
This includes, without limitation:
- business claims
- income claims
- health-related claims
- legal claims
- financial claims
- educational claims
- performance claims
- testimonial or results-based claims
If you make claims about results, earnings, performance, or similar outcomes, you are solely responsible for ensuring they are lawful, substantiated, and properly disclosed where required.
The eBook Library may remove or restrict listings that appear deceptive, exaggerated, unsubstantiated, or likely to create legal or consumer protection risk.
9. AI-Generated Content and Seller Input Fields
The Platform may offer AI-assisted tools, including tools that help generate or edit sales pages and promotional copy.
If you use AI-generated or AI-assisted content, you remain solely responsible for:
- reviewing it before publication
- correcting inaccuracies
- ensuring legal compliance
- ensuring that the final content is not misleading, infringing, or harmful
In addition, if you provide seller-input fields used by the Platform to generate sales pages, you are solely responsible for the truthfulness, legality, and substantiation of that content.
This includes, without limitation:
- Credentials Link, which may be used for the “Present Your Credentials” section of a generated sales page
- Social Proof / Reviews, which may be displayed on a generated sales page if provided
- Guarantee, which may be displayed on a generated sales page if provided by the seller
If you provide a Credentials Link, you are responsible for ensuring that any claimed background, authority, expertise, biography, certifications, achievements, or credentials are accurate, lawful to display, and not misleading.
If you provide Social Proof / Reviews, you are responsible for ensuring that any testimonial, review, endorsement, quote, rating, or similar representation is authentic, lawfully used, and not false, deceptive, fabricated, or materially misleading.
If you provide a Guarantee, you are solely responsible for honoring that guarantee and for ensuring that it is clear, lawful, and consistent with your actual refund, delivery, and transaction practices.
If you leave the Guarantee field blank, the Platform may apply its default guarantee language in the generated sales page. Even in that case, you remain solely responsible for reviewing the generated page before publishing it and for ensuring that the displayed guarantee is one you are prepared and legally able to honor.
The availability of AI tools or seller-input fields does not shift responsibility for final content away from the seller.
10. Lead Collection and Lead Use
If the Platform provides you with lead information submitted by visitors, you agree that:
- you will use that information lawfully and responsibly
- you will comply with applicable email, privacy, and marketing laws
- you will honor unsubscribe requests where required
- you will not sell, abuse, or misuse lead information
- you understand that The eBook Library may also retain lead and unsubscribe records under its own platform rules and retention settings
Lead access is a platform privilege and may be restricted or removed if misused.
11. Refunds, Delivery, and Customer Support
Because sellers typically control their own external payment and delivery systems, sellers are responsible for:
- refund terms
- delivery method
- access instructions
- support communications
- billing issues
- resolving customer complaints related to seller-controlled transactions
If you promise refunds, guarantees, bonuses, or delivery timelines, you are responsible for honoring those commitments.
12. Moderation Rights
The eBook Library may, in its sole discretion, review, moderate, restrict, suspend, edit, unpublish, or remove any seller profile, eBook listing, sales page, promotional text, link, or other content for any reason, including suspected fraud, infringement, spam, abuse, legal risk, policy violations, reputational harm, or poor user experience.
We may take action with or without prior notice where appropriate.
13. Account Suspension or Termination
Seller access may be suspended, restricted, or terminated if we believe the seller has:
- violated these guidelines or other platform policies
- uploaded infringing or unlawful content
- repeatedly published misleading or harmful claims
- misused lead data
- engaged in abusive, fraudulent, or high-risk conduct
- created legal, reputational, or operational risk for the Platform
We may also remove, disable, or retain records as necessary for legal, compliance, security, accounting, or administrative reasons.
14. No Guarantee of Visibility or Sales
The eBook Library does not guarantee:
- listing approval
- listing visibility
- search rankings
- lead volume
- conversion rates
- sales volume
- buyer engagement
- uninterrupted access to any platform feature
Use of the Platform is at your own business risk.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The eBook Library and its owners, operators, affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and agents from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to:
- your content
- your listings
- your payment and checkout systems
- your marketing claims
- your transactions with buyers
- your communications with leads or customers
- your violation of these guidelines, platform policies, or applicable law
16. Changes to Seller Guidelines
We may revise these Seller Terms / Seller Guidelines at any time. Updated versions may be posted on the Platform with a revised Effective Date. Continued use of seller features after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines to the extent permitted by law.
